Job SummaryThe Patient Care Associate II provides high-quality patient care and performs various unit activities under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse. Key responsibilities include direct patient care activities such as taking vital signs, assisting patients with daily living tasks, and coordinating equipment and transportation. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities- Provides patient care and support services, including vital sign monitoring, patient transfers, and equipment management.
- Assists patients with daily living tasks, such as hygiene, elimination needs, and nourishment.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Maintains a safe and clean environment, adhering to hospital standards and protocols.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient-centered care and smooth unit operations.
- CPR training required.
- Phlebotomy training and experience preferred.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- At least six months of experience as a Nursing Assistant or completion of the NWH Patient Care Assistant Training Program.
