Occupational Therapist

Job Summary
As an Occupational Therapist with the Good Samaritan Society, you will play a vital role in helping clients/patients/residents develop, maintain, and recover their ability to perform daily tasks. You will assess clients/patients/residents and design occupational therapy treatments to address their physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate clients/patients/residents to identify their strengths and challenges
- Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy plans to promote independence and functional ability
- Provide education and training to clients/patients/residents and their families to enhance understanding and improve outcomes
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Document client/patient/resident information and progress in accordance with departmental guidelines
Requirements
- Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure
- Licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state(s) of practice
- Certification through the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment
