Diesel Service Technician

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is a leading provider of diesel truck services. We are seeking a skilled Diesel Service Technician to join our team.
Job Summary
The Diesel Service Technician will perform heavy-duty mechanical repairs under general supervision, receiving on-the-job training in a development program to achieve Service Journeyman status. The role involves performing and/or assisting in the performance of general mechanical duties, including engine overhaul, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, chassis, brakes, engine tune-up, and general maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Performs heavy-duty mechanical repairs under general supervision
- Receives on-the-job training in a development program to achieve Service Journeyman status
- Performs and/or assists in the performance of general mechanical duties
- Gains experience by working on major components with close supervision
- Attends training sessions and meetings
- Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary
Requirements
- CDL preferred
- Minimum three years hands-on experience or graduate of vocational courses
