About the Role

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Engineer to join our preconstruction team at Level 10 Construction.

Job Description

  • This senior-level role involves managing multiple tasks, producing high-quality work, and consistently meeting deadlines.
  • You will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

">
  1. ">
  2. Perform accurate quantity takeoffs using company format, detail, and coding for all Masterformat (CSI), Uniformat, and bid packages.">
  3. Assist in developing estimates by evaluating drawings, building plans, specifications, and related documents.">
  4. Prepare detailed estimates and provide quantity comparison between estimate revisions.">
  5. Actively participate in the internal estimate review process and assist in developing clarifications and assumptions with the project management team.">
  6. Develop unit costs accurately and analyze value management analysis options.">
  7. Self-reliant in researching, understanding, and developing knowledge of building designs, systems, construction materials, and methods.">
  8. Provide internal database input based on current market feedback for incorporation into database.">
  9. Lead in the training and development of cost engineers.">
  10. Work closely with new hires and/or new project teams to educate them on standard forms, programs, and operational standards.">

Qualifications

">
  • 4+ years of experience as a Cost Engineer/Junior Estimator in commercial construction industry.">
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or Civil Engineering preferred but not required.">
  • Strong math and analytical skills, with ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.">
  • Proficient in estimating software programs used in preconstruction: On-Screen Takeoff (OST), Destini, Timberline, Building Connected, Assemble, Bluebeam, Power BI, BIM360, Excel, Word, MS Project.">
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and both oral and written communication skills.">
  • Able to thrive in a deadline-oriented, fast-paced environment.">

Compensation

">
  • The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.">
  • In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.">
