Job Overview

Hester Fabrication Inc. is seeking a skilled Welding Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting shop drawings, planning and executing fabrication tasks, and ensuring high-quality welds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and understand shop drawings to plan fabrication tasks
  • Execute fabrication tasks using advanced MIG and TIG welding techniques
  • Perform accurate layout of plates, holes, bends, and other components
  • Skilled in the use of layout tools like scribes, squares, tapes, protractors, levels, and other equipment
  • Meet Hester Fabrication's welding standards and diagnose problems to ensure high-quality welds
  • Estimate fabrication durations and consistently meet goals
  • Plan and sequence work with the shop manager

Work Environment

Our fabrication shop is equipped with a wide range of tools, including drills, cold saws, bandsaws, grinders, tapping arms, laser, press brake, overhead crane, and forklift. We are looking for a team player who is humble and ready to learn every day.

Ability to commute/relocate to Hayward, CA 94545 is preferred.
