Family Therapist

Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Family Counselor to join our team at Youth Villages. As a Family Counselor, you will work with at-risk youth and their families to provide intensive, community-based treatment and support.
Responsibilities:
- Carry a caseload of 4-5 families and provide intensive treatment, meeting with each family at least three times per week.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for each case, conducting ongoing assessments and reviews of treatment progress.
- Document all sessions within a pre-established cycle time, utilizing web-based documentation and voice-recognition technology.
- Provide after-hours support to youth and families, utilizing a rotating on-call schedule.
- Drive up to 60-80 miles to meet with families in their homes, providing treatment in a wide array of settings and communities.
- Work closely with multiple types of clinical supervision, including individual and group settings led by trained and licensed MST professionals.
- Develop strong community relationships and resources to provide families as part of treatment.
Requirements:
- Masters degree in a social services field (preferred) or a Bachelor's degree in a related field (required).
- Experience working with at-risk youth and/or families in a volunteer, internship, or paid position (clinical experience preferred).
- Willingness to maintain an untraditional schedule.
- Strong writing skills and experience with electronic documentation.
- Acceptable driving record (three or fewer moving violations within the past 36 months).
