Job Description:

A successful freight driver at PFG Customized Distribution is responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods to our customers. This includes operating a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and maintaining accurate records of hours of service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and colleagues to resolve any issues that may arise during the delivery process.
  • Fully comply with all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Inspect the tractor/truck and trailer regularly to identify any potential issues and report them promptly to management.
  • Load and unload cargo from the trailer, verifying the accuracy of customer invoices and conducting damage control checks.
  • Deliver products to customers according to predetermined schedules, obtaining signatures upon completion of each delivery.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to company policies and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed as a freight driver at PFG Customized Distribution, you must possess:

  • A valid CDL-A license and a minimum of six months' commercial driving experience.
  • A clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past three years.
  • The ability to lift and maneuver product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout your shift.
  • A high school diploma/GED or equivalent.
