Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to provide on-site maintenance and repair services for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and excellent customer service skills to ensure timely and efficient resolution of equipment issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of lifting equipment, including hoists, pullers, and rigging systems
  • Input computerized inspection reports and provide quotes for repairs
  • Facilitate repair and restoration of equipment to original manufacturer's specifications, including load testing
  • Enter repair information on orders for delivery and invoicing
  • Communicate with team leaders and dispatchers regarding customer requirements and changes
  • Perform inspections and repairs at customer locations, utilizing a fully equipped 24' box trailer with necessary tools and testing equipment
  • Operate machinery safely and efficiently, including man lifts, testers, trucks, and other motorized vehicles
  • Attend training and safety classes as requested
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, with special attention to safety regulations
Requirements
  • Mechanical aptitude and electrical knowledge preferred
  • Strong reading and writing skills, including ability to read a tape measure
  • Computer aptitude and Microsoft skills required
  • Ability to travel for up to a week at a time to service regional customers
  • Ability to drive a truck with attached 24' box trailer
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test, DOT physical exam, and background check, including MVR
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
Environmental Requirements
  • Must be able to work efficiently outdoors with regular exposure to heat or cold
  • Must be comfortable standing or walking for extended periods
  • Must be able to work from elevated heights to diagnose and repair equipment
  • Must be willing and able to travel job sites or other branches to maintain customer satisfaction and safety
