Career Opportunity

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Telemetry Unit to provide patient-centered care and demonstrate excellence in nursing practice. This role requires autonomy, professional expertise, and evidence-based decision-making. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the nursing process, be able to communicate effectively, and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate and supervise patient care based on competence, professional expertise, and knowledge.
  2. Practice autonomously consistent with professional standards, the Nurse Practice Act, and hospital job description specific to the unit.
  3. Establish and maintain professional relationships with staff members, physicians, patients, and family members while maintaining confidentiality.
  4. Provide guidance to team members by supervising nursing interventions and assisting with related tasks.
  5. Document and communicate observed symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in patient condition to the healthcare team.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Current California RN license required.
  • Minimum one year of acute care experience in the specialty area.
  • Current certification in the specialty area preferred.
  • PCCN certification preferred.
  • Experience with EHR systems preferred.
  • AHA BLS Card required.
  • ACLS, EKG competency, and femoral sheath competency preferred within 90 days of hire.
Compensation and Benefits

This role is represented by SEIU L121 and covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement. The estimated salary for this position is $53,110 - $74,304 per annum, or approximately $47.10 - $67.04 per hour. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan options.
