We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at an 80-bed acute care hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

About the Role:

  • Measure lung capacity and analyze blood samples using a blood gas analyzer
  • Perform tobacco cessation education, bedside PFT, EKGs, etc as ordered by the provider
  • Deliver and assess response to ordered therapy per plan of care
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate
  • Evaluate respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes, current research, and best practices
  • Respond to codes and calls for emergent assistance
  • Educate the patient and family about the patient's illness and provide information about community support groups and other resources
  • Monitor, receive, stock, and distribute respiratory care supplies and medical gas cylinders
