MRI Technologist

As a Travel MRI Technologist with PSG Global Solutions Careers, you will have the opportunity to work in various healthcare settings across the US, performing diagnostic imaging procedures and assisting in the diagnosis of patient illness.
Key Responsibilities
Perform MRI diagnostic imaging procedures on patients of all ages, adhering to department procedures and protocols
Locate and record internal elements of the body, identifying any anomalies indicative of disease, injury, or other medically significant conditions
Adjust equipment and calm patients to eliminate test artifacts
Monitor patients for potentially dangerous physical and emotional changes
Evaluate test results for clarity and accuracy
Review tests with peers and physicians, informing them of preliminary findings as requested
Distribute completed test results to physicians and service providers, preparing diagnostic information for interpretation
Maintain patient charts, entering diagnosis and billing codes, logging data into patient information systems, and updating file systems for tests performed
Clean and sterilize equipment and workspace, recognizing equipment malfunctions and adjusting or referring for repair
Instruct patients in pretest preparation, answer questions, and explain procedures
Comply with Siemens, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures, maintaining equipment according to Infection Control procedures
Maintain technical competency through continued education and participation in Siemens training programs
Administer contrast agents under the guidance and approval of site Radiologists, maintaining current Permits to Practice in all states where services are performed
Perform equipment quality checks, troubleshoot problems, and notify team members, following quality assurance guidelines and maintaining patient confidentiality
Requirements
Clinical Radiographer background with a minimum of 2 years MRI clinical experience
Siemens equipment experience required
Valid ARRT license, registered in MRI
Strong communication skills, ability to interact with client personnel and team members in an autonomous, responsible, professional, and ethical manner
Flexibility, reliability, and sound judgment and initiative
