Radiologic Technologist

Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of medical imaging technology.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare patients for examination, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Assist radiologists and physicians in patient care during procedures, providing exceptional support and expertise.
- Review patient medical records to verify physician orders prior to examination, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Cross-train in other specialty areas, departments, and facilities to enhance skills and stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques.
- Inspect films for quality, monitoring patient information and medical record numbers to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in the training of new technologists and technical assistants, sharing knowledge and expertise to ensure a smooth transition.
- Demonstrate competency and adherence to safety guidelines when operating specialized equipment, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
- Implement Standard Precautions on all patients, adhering to hospital policy and protocols.
- Adjust to variable schedules and procedure techniques, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Report equipment malfunctions to lead tech/supervisor and clinical engineering, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing downtime.
- Maintain and stock rooms with necessary supplies, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Demonstrate knowledge and proper use of computer programs, particularly the HBOC system, to optimize data entry and workflow.
- Complete exam data entry on all studies performed, as well as any necessary paperwork associated with each case.
- Attend monthly department staff meetings, staying informed and engaged with colleagues and leadership.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and hold a current Florida General Radiographer license from the Department of HRS Radiation Control.
- Graduate of an AMA Accredited Educational Radiologic Technology Program for Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
- One year clinical experience preferred but not required.
