We are seeking a qualified candidate to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Slavic and Eurasian Studies on a temporary/non-tenured basis. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in a relevant field and a proven track record of teaching excellence.

About the Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lectures, tutorials, and assessments to students enrolled in our Slavic and Eurasian Studies program. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented educator to contribute to the academic community at the University of Texas at Austin.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Slavic and Eurasian Studies, contingent upon student enrollment and funding;
  • Maintain a strong record of teaching excellence and student engagement;
  • Develop and implement effective curriculum materials and assessments;
  • Advise and mentor students in their academic and professional development;
  • Contribute to departmental service activities, such as committee work and event planning.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in a relevant field (Slavic Languages and Literatures, History, Cultural Studies, or related fields);
  • Record of teaching excellence, including course evaluations and peer review feedback;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
What We Offer

The University of Texas at Austin offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
