Job Description:

Nemours Children's Hospital in Orlando, Florida, seeks a BC/BE Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician to provide exceptional care and advance research in the field of developmental behavioral pediatrics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing outstanding clinical care to children with developmental and behavioral concerns, as well as leading the development and implementation of a fellowship program in developmental behavioral pediatrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert clinical care to children with developmental and behavioral disorders, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to meet the individual needs of each patient.
  • Serve as a mentor and educator to medical students, residents, and fellows, providing guidance and supervision in the clinical care of pediatric patients.
  • Develop and oversee a fellowship program in developmental behavioral pediatrics, including curriculum development, recruitment of fellows, and program evaluation.
  • Facilitate research initiatives within the department, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in developmental behavioral pediatrics.
  • Engage in community outreach and education initiatives to raise awareness and promote early intervention for developmental and behavioral concerns.

Qualified Candidates:

  • BC/BE in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics
  • Eligible for unrestricted medical licenses in Florida
  • Professional Qualifications/Experience
  • Interest and experience in working with a population that has a number of economic, health and educational disparities
  • Cultural sensitivity, appreciation and interest in improving the health of an underserved population
