Job Overview

This is a skilled nursing position that offers a sign-on bonus to new teammates. In addition to the bonus, Atrium Health provides robust benefits packages, paid time off, and educational assistance.

The successful candidate will perform nursing care and assist with planning and implementing care for patient comfort and well-being. The LPN's scope of practice is dependent and directed, requiring assignment or delegation by and performance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), physician, dentist, or other licensed independent practitioner.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Participate in determining nursing care needs based on collection and interpretation of data relevant to the health status of patients/residents.
  • Recognize and determine need for immediate intervention.
  • Document patient/resident observations, treatments, patient/resident response to treatment, and nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
  • Assist RN with development/revision of the plan of care by providing data and identifying potential goals and intervention for review by the RN.
  • Communicate with clinical staff on patient/resident status if significant changes occur.
  • Implement identified plans under the supervision of the RN, physician, or other independent licensed practitioner ensuring tasks have been completed.
  • Aware of patient's/resident's progress and goals as demonstrated by documentation in medical records and reports same to the Registered Nurse.
Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must be a graduate from an accredited School of Practical Nursing. Additionally, you must hold a current LPN license or temporary license as a Licensed Practical Nurse Petitioner in the state where you work and reside. BLS certification is also required per policy guidelines.

Compensation and Benefits
