Project Kuiper is an ambitious endeavor to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites, providing low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to underserved communities worldwide.

Job Summary

We seek an exceptional attorney to join our legal team supporting Project Kuiper. As a leader on the team, you will counsel our business operations, product, and engineering teams on a wide range of issues across both consumer and enterprise businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Counsel business operations, product, and engineering teams on commercial transactions, regulatory regimes, and risk management.
  • Lead product counseling and commercial legal support globally for strategic initiatives related to digital customer experience, including payments, pricing, currency restrictions, billing, invoicing, and new digital feature launches.
  • Work directly with the business in negotiating commercial transactions and distill complex regulatory regimes into clear requirements for compliance and business teams.
  • Build processes that address risk and allow the business flexibility and freedom to move quickly.
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of legal experience
  • Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
  • Experience in technology and commercial transactions or businesses
  • Experience working closely with and advising senior executives of an organization or equivalent
  • Experience working independently and directly with all levels of legal and business partners or equivalent

Compensation

The base pay for this position ranges from $164,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $272,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
