MRI Technologist

Advanced Radiology Consultants is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing MRI exams with precision and attention to detail, ensuring optimal diagnostic quality and exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct MRI procedures with a focus on quality and timeliness.
• Escort patients to treatment rooms and assist with dressings as necessary.
• Complete all necessary paperwork to ensure timely delivery of MRI services.
• Explain MRI procedures to address patient concerns and questions.
• Administer I.V. contrast as required.
• Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff.
• Complete related paperwork and obtain interpretation by radiologist.
• Conduct quality control measures to monitor machine performance and report any malfunctions or need for adjustments to the site manager.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional atmosphere when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors.

Requirements:

• Associate Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• ARRT (R) (MR) certification and Connecticut licensure required.
• 1-2+ years of clinical experience in all MRI procedure types.
• Siemens, GE experience preferred.
