Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our Cloud Engineering team in Tacoma, WA or Santa Clara, CA. As a Staff Data Engineer, you will play a key role in developing platforms and products for Infoblox's SaaS product line, delivering next-level networking solutions for our customers.

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with data scientists and product teams to curate and refine data powering our latest cloud products. You will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing storage solutions for various consumers of the data, including data warehouses like ClickHouse and OpenSearch.

You will also design and implement mechanisms to monitor data sources over time for changes using summarization, monitoring, and statistical methods. Additionally, you will develop and maintain APIs that enable seamless data integration and retrieval processes for internal and external applications.

The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of experience with Python3, 5+ years of experience in data engineering, and 3+ years of experience working with modern relational databases, including MySQL or PostgreSQL.

In this role, you will leverage computer science algorithms and constructs to distill large data into sources of insight and enable future analytics. You will collaborate on design, implementation, and deployment of applications with the rest of software engineering and support data scientists and Product teams in building, debugging, and deploying Spark applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, test, and implement storage solutions for various consumers of the data.
  • Develop and maintain APIs that enable seamless data integration and retrieval processes for internal and external applications.
  • Leverage computer science algorithms and constructs to distill large data into sources of insight and enable future analytics.
  • Collaborate on design, implementation, and deployment of applications with the rest of software engineering.
  • Support data scientists and Product teams in building, debugging, and deploying Spark applications.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience with Python3.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience working with modern relational databases, including MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience working with ClickHouse data warehouse.
  • Expertise in designing and developing APIs for data access and manipulation in a distributed environment.
  • Proficient in Object Oriented Design and S.O.L.I.D principles.
  • Emphasis on unit testing and code quality.
