Mammography Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Imaging Specialist to join our team at SSM Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mammography imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate mammography equipment and perform various procedures to capture high-quality images.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging, selecting appropriate anatomic and technical parameters.
  • Explain procedures and educate patients on the importance of regular mammography in preventive breast health.
  • Develop and evaluate images for technical quality, following radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to our Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or graduate from a certificate program in radiologic technology.
  • No prior experience required, but a strong understanding of mammography principles and practices is essential.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in mammography.
