We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Transition Specialist to join our team in the Northeast US. This role will play a key part in shaping the future of grid modernization, working closely with utilities, regulators, and industry stakeholders to develop and implement innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing strategies for grid modernization, focusing on the integration of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs)
  • Collaborating with utility clients to design new markets and programs that promote the adoption of DERs
  • Maintaining strong relationships with regulators, government agencies, and industry stakeholders to ensure alignment with policy objectives
  • Contributing to the development of thought leadership materials, including policy consultation responses, white papers, and blogs
  • Engaging with consultants and external parties to oversee projects and provide expertise as needed

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Expert knowledge of electricity system policy and regulatory developments at state and federal level
  • Demonstrated track record of influencing regulators and utilities on rate-case design
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience leading on consultations, white papers, and external-facing materials
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • A high degree of flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team
