Autism Therapist

At Sevita, we provide center-based Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) services to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related disabilities. Our mission is to empower every person to live well and pursue a fulfilling career.

We are seeking an experienced Autism Therapist to join our team as a Developmental Behavioral Specialist in Ridgeland, SC. This role involves ensuring the consistent implementation of behavior management programs for individuals served.

The ideal candidate will have experience in behavioral therapy and a passion for improving the lives of individuals with autism and their families. As a Developmental Behavioral Specialist, you will be responsible for:

• Establishing and maintaining therapeutic relationships by building rapport with individuals served
• Following treatment plan goals and interventions utilizing sound judgment and seeking appropriate consultation
• Collaborating with family and treatment team members to provide effective behavior management techniques without disruption to the environment or other individuals

You will also educate parents/guardians on reinforcement and intervention information when requested, promote safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors, and review progress objectively using behavior analytic methods.

Additional responsibilities include accurately collecting behavior data, ensuring timely and accurate documentation, and completing incident reports as required by agency policy and procedure.

To succeed in this role, you must have:

• A High School Diploma
• Applied Behavior Analysis experience preferred
• RBT Credential preferred
• Exceptional communication skills with an ability to establish trust and rapport quickly
• A good listener with an ability to empathize while still providing guidance
