Position Overview:

Trinity Industries is seeking an Unarmed Security Representative to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the safety and security of our facilities while providing a welcoming environment for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular surveillance of the premises to deter and detect any suspicious activities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for guests, ensuring a professional and courteous interaction.
  • Assist in the investigation of incidents occurring on-site, contributing to the prevention of theft and other unlawful activities.
  • Act as a liaison among customers, visitors, and staff, fostering a secure and friendly atmosphere.
  • Prepare and maintain necessary documentation to support the security administration program.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work year-round in various weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Capability to navigate different terrains and surfaces, including stairs and uneven ground.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, or push weights ranging from 5 to 25 pounds.
  • Willingness to stand or sit at an assigned post for extended periods, with scheduled breaks.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic manufacturing environment with high noise levels and heavy machinery.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a security role is preferred.
  • Proficient in preparing and maintaining accurate records.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Outlook is essential.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities to interact with individuals at all levels.
  • Excellent customer service skills are a must.
  • Prior knowledge of security operations and safety practices in a business environment is advantageous.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Experience in enforcing policies and procedures is preferred.
