Senior Operations Manager

The Fisher Island Community Association is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our Security and Guest Services Department. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure the safety and satisfaction of our residents, guests, and employees.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule Management: Prepare shift schedules for personnel coverage on a daily basis, ensuring adequate staffing levels and smooth operational flow.
- Leadership and Training: Conduct daily briefings and training sessions with personnel to promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Policy and Procedures: Possess in-depth knowledge of company and department policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and effective decision-making.
- Counseling and Reporting: Counsel, correct, and report work-related violations as necessary, maintaining a professional and fair approach.
- Complaint Resolution: Handle all complaints and reports pertaining to the shift, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance checks on security equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Post Checks: Perform post checks on a regular basis during the shift to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
- Payroll and Inventory: Maintain accurate payroll logs and inventory records for the shift personnel, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
- Incident Reporting: Report all major incidents to Management immediately, providing detailed accounts and recommendations for improvement.
- Conflict Resolution: Handle internal conflicts professionally and fairly, promoting a positive and respectful work environment.
- Communication: Communicate effectively through various channels (written, verbal, and electronic), demonstrating excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Perform other duties as assigned by management, contributing to the overall success and growth of the organization.
- Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in the security/safety field, preferably in a supervisory or management capacity.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of successful incident management.
- Ability to multitask and work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
Working Conditions: The Shift Supervisor will work in a dynamic indoor/outdoor environment, requiring adaptability and flexibility to changing situations.
