Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Medical Surgical Care Unit team at VCU Health. As an LPN, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you can provide exceptional care to patients and families while developing your leadership skills.

About the Role:

  • You will deliver high-quality patient care, administer medications, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • In this role, you will also have the opportunity to participate in shared governance, contribute to unit decisions, and develop as a leader within our organization.
  • Your experience as an LPN will enable you to make informed decisions, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Licensure, certification, or registration varies depending on employment background and transitional assignment; LPN licensure in Virginia or eligible.
  • AHA BLS Certification or equivalent is required for continued employment.
  • Varying experience is required based on transitional duty assignment, but experience as a LPN in an acute care setting or applicable area of practice is preferred.

Benefits:

  • This role offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 annually, depending on experience.
  • The successful candidate will be working all three shifts, weekends, and holidays, with individual shift rotation and schedules established with the Nurse Manager/Practice Manager.
  • This position requires physical abilities such as lifting 50-100 lbs, prolonged standing, sitting, bending, walking, climbing, reaching, and mental/sensory demands including strong recall, reasoning, problem-solving, hearing, speaking clearly, writing legibly, reading, and logical thinking.
