About the Role

At Alta California Regional Center, we are seeking a highly skilled Legal Services Specialist to join our team. In this critical role, you will support DDS-conserved clients by performing all day-to-day conservatorship duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meeting with clients during Individualized Program Plan (IPP) meetings and other relevant meetings to explore services and natural supports that promote independence.
  • Advocating on behalf of clients to secure or fund appropriate services and supports.
  • Maintaining compliance with the Lanterman Developmental Disabilities Services Act and other relevant Federal/State/local laws and regulations.
  • Providing ongoing consultation to clients and their circle of support.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need at least a Bachelor's degree and five years of recent, full-time experience related to individuals with developmental disabilities. You must also have:

  • The ability to locate, interpret, and apply relevant statutes, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with statutes and regulations relating to individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Excellent analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional verbal and writing skills.
  • Superior organizational skills and ability to prioritize competing demands and tasks to meet strict deadlines.

Estimated Salary

$32.36 - $41.70 per hour, depending on experience and education.
