Deputy Sheriff

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Deputy Sheriff to join our team at Cass County Government. As a Deputy Sheriff, you will be responsible for maintaining civil peace, investigating complaints and accidents, and enforcing laws and ordinances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol the county to ensure public safety and respond to emergency calls.
• Investigate crimes and gather evidence to support prosecutions.
• Enforce laws and ordinances, and make arrests as necessary.
• Prepare and submit reports on incidents and activities.
• Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies to share information and best practices.

Requirements:

• Must be currently licensed by the ND POST Board or have completed a Basic Law Enforcement Training Course.
• Must reside in Cass County within 12 months of official start date.
• Must be current on all State and Department training and education requirements.
• Must be proficient in the use of all assigned equipment.
• Must be certified to do CPR.
