Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine procedures and tests using radiology equipment to acquire patient diagnostic data.
  • Prepare for and assist the radiologist in completion of intricate radiographic procedures, including preparation and administration of contrast media and medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Perform patient assessments and provide patient care, evaluating the appropriateness of examination and assessing the quality of radiographic images.
  • Utilize RIS, CIS, PACS, and SMS systems effectively and appropriately to access information and document status of procedures.
  • Verify patient identity, obtain patient history relevant to examination order, and assess patients' physical condition to determine if additional medical personnel and/or equipment is needed.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible and become registered within one (1) year from date of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
