Aeronautics Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Aeronautics Engineer to join our team at Noblis, where you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in air traffic management and surveillance services. As a Senior Aeronautics Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting research, development, and evaluation of advanced air traffic control and management automation concepts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and propose new automation concepts and algorithms to improve air traffic management systems.
- Engage with NASA teams and partners on requirements development and systems design for aviation simulation and prototype demonstration systems.
- Lead system development and produce system performance metrics, measures of effectiveness, and measures of performance.
- Develop the data management strategy and architecture, including identifying data collection needs, data models, and requirements.
- Interact with senior researchers, customers, and project engineers to develop and execute research plans.
- Prepare presentations and reports as required, present results at seminars and conferences, and publish papers as appropriate.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Five or more years of experience in related fields.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python and MATLAB.
- Experience with databases like NoSQL and SQL.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Able to work independently and effectively in a team environment.
Compensation Package:
The estimated salary for this position is $120,010 - $187,495 per year, based on full-time status. Compensation may vary depending on factors such as education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, location, and clearance level.
