Job Summary

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse - Telehealth to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our veterans through telehealth services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medication accurately and promptly under the general supervision of a registered nurse.
  • Assist RN and/or MD/DO to prioritize patient care needs and adjust health care plans as needed.
  • Provide technical and administrative support for telehealth programs, including patient site facilitation and education.
  • Perform telehealth imaging, including Tele-Eye screening, Teledermatology, and other telehealth programs as technology becomes available.
  • Respond to patient's nursing needs, including physical comfort and emotional needs, and recognize deviations from the normal.
  • Provide basic information to patients regarding telehealth process and provide disease-specific patient education.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a school of practical or vocational nursing approved by the appropriate State agency and/or accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).
  • Full, active, current and unrestricted licensure as a licensed practical or vocational nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or District of Columbia.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively. The selected candidate will be required to work in a variety of settings, including telehealth and in-person patient care.
