Maintenance Welder Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Welder Specialist for a challenging role in Piedmont, SC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding tasks on various industrial equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Laying out, fitting, and welding fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms such as tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells, pipe, and building and bridge parts.
• Selecting equipment and planning layout, assembly, and welding; laying out, positioning, aligning, and fitting components together; bolting, clamping, tack welding parts to secure in position for welding.
• Setting up equipment and welding parts; may assemble parts by bolting and riveting; may weld pipe such as carbon steel, stainless steel, chrome, etc., by process of arc, heliarc, gas, mig, tig, etc.
• Repairing products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts; may use cutting torch to cut materials and demo existing assemblies.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in welding and metal fabrication.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures.
• Able to lift 30-50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.

Work Environment: Industrial maintenance and construction sites, equipment yard, and/or fabrication shop.
