Farm Youth Assistant

Kreher Family Farms, a family-owned and operated business since 1924, is seeking part-time Farm Youth Assistants to join our team.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience while contributing to our farm's operations.

• Assist with daily care of hens, ensuring their health and well-being by monitoring drinkers and feed augers, reporting any issues to supervisors, and maintaining cleanliness of barns.
• Learnevent Proper bird handling techniques and safely remove mortality from cages when necessary.
• Assist with moving birds, sweeping walkways, and performing other tasks as required.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $15.00, perfect for middle and high school students looking to gain work experience. Part-time openings are available on Saturdays and Sundays, with opportunities to pick up extra hours during school breaks and summer vacation.

No late afternoons or overnights are required, allowing you to balance work and academic responsibilities. Students must be at least 14 years old to work in the barns.

Please note that applicants who currently own or hunt birds may not be eligible for this position.
