Business Development, Stone Surfaces

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development, Stone Surfaces professional to join our team at Hansen & Company Woodworks. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and developing new business opportunities in the stone surfaces industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop expertise in current and adjacent markets to discover and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the estimating team to review bid solicitations, interpret project requirements, and prepare project proposals and quotations.
  • Serve as a specification representative to secure Hansen & Company Woodworks' placement in project specification manuals.
  • Work with the marketing team to prepare and deliver presentations to prospective customers and partners to showcase our products and capabilities.
  • Establish and strengthen relationships with current customers and influencers in the industry.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to coordinate contract scope and requirements and hand off projects internally for completion.
  • Utilize customer relationship management (CRM) software to record, track, and analyze prospect and sales forecasting data.
  • Represent Hansen & Company Woodworks at industry events, customer, and vendor meetings, and conferences.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience in sales, business development, estimating, or a related position.
  • 5+ years of experience in the solid surfaces industry.
  • Ambitious and results-driven individual with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Knowledge of construction project manuals and specification documents.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Comfortable working in a continuously changing environment.
  • Self-starter who works well with others, exudes a positive attitude, provides quality customer service, and thinks critically with complex problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and excel under changing conditions on a variety of projects.
  • Maintains accuracy and efficiency under pressure. Prioritizes and works flexibly to meet deadlines.
Bonus Points:
  • AA or BS/BA degree in construction management, business management, or a related field.
  • Previous construction industry experience preferred.
  • Experience in project management, general woodworking, manufacturing, commercial construction, or designing.
