Restaurateur General Manager

About the Role:
As the General Manager of Restaurants, Bars, and Events, you will be responsible for creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests by leading a skilled front-of-house team. This role requires a servant-leader who can monitor labor costs, financial performance, staff development, scheduling, and nightly/daily service coordination. Your goal will be to act as an advocate for the restaurant, creating memorable experiences for our guests, and developing strong relationships that drive repeat business.
Your Responsibilities:
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the restaurant and event spaces, leading daily line-ups, regular department meetings, and conducting daily walk-throughs of event setups.
• Lead a team of restaurant supervisors, fostering opportunities for growth, learning, and development, identifying talent, and providing necessary training as positions become available.
• Interview, hire, and train staff; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; mentor and celebrate employees; address feedback and problem-solve as needed.
• Participate in crafting financial objectives for the department through the budget process, consistently meeting budget targets in areas of cost control, particularly payroll and cost of sales.
• Partner with the Executive Chef to provide final approval of menus and pricing.
• Collaborate with the Director of Sales & Marketing on Catering Marketing Strategy to execute and improve the annual marketing plan, working closely with sales on group bookings.
• Develop strong relationships with in-house clients and contracted clients to build repeat business.
What You Bring:
• 3+ years of experience as a Restaurant General Manager or Director of Food and Beverage in a luxury hotel environment, with Food Handler Certification (if applicable).
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality/Restaurant Management, Business, or equivalent field preferred.
• Proven experience with all aspects of restaurant/banquet/catering operations, sales, budgeting, expense management, inventory, payroll, labor costing, staffing, marketing, owner relations, and P&L management.
• Proven systems knowledge and experience with Aloha/Avero, Micros, and ADP/eTime payroll or a combination of these systems required.
• Passion for crafting and personalizing guest experiences.
• Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
