Job Overview

MAG CHILDCARE AND LEARNING CENTER L is seeking a highly qualified Lead Daycare Teacher to join our team. This role is responsible for creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for infants and toddlers in our childcare setting.

Salary Range

$55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum Development and Implementation:
    • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote developmental milestones.
    • Plan and facilitate daily activities that support sensory, motor, language, and social skills.
    • Assess and adapt curriculum based on individual child needs and developmental progress.
  • Child Development and Supervision:
    • Observe and document each child's development and behavior to track progress and identify areas for growth.
    • Provide individualized attention and care to ensure each child's needs are met.
    • Create a safe and secure environment where children feel comfortable exploring and learning.
  • Parent and Family Communication:
    • Maintain open and regular communication with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns.
    • Conduct parent-teacher conferences and provide updates on child development.
    • Offer guidance and support to families on developmental milestones and parenting strategies.
  • Health and Safety:
    • Ensure the classroom and all materials are clean, safe, and conducive to learning.
    • Adhere to health and safety regulations, including sanitation procedures and emergency protocols.
    • Administer first aid and medications as required, following proper protocols.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive approach to child care and education.
    • Participate in team meetings, professional development, and training sessions.
    • Support and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides as needed.
  • Record-Keeping and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate and confidential records of each child's development, attendance, and any incidents.
    • Prepare and submit reports as required by the center or regulatory agencies.
    Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field. Associate's degree with relevant experience may be considered.

Experience:

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with infants and toddlers in a childcare or educational setting.

Certifications:

CPR and First Aid certifications are required. Additional certifications in early childhood education are a plus.
