Learning and Development Program Manager

About the Role
MedStar Health is seeking a highly skilled Learning and Development Program Manager to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating learning programs that enhance associates' performance, promote professional development, and support the mission, vision, and SPIRIT Values of MedStar Health and the Department of Nursing.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the achievement of established department goals and objectives, adhering to department policies, procedures, quality standards, and safety standards.
- Develop and implement teaching techniques that promote critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and decision-making, incorporating principles of adult learning theory.
- Coach nurses and other associates, providing feedback to enhance professional nursing practice and professional advancement.
- Collaborate with other departments, experts, and leaders to obtain information needed to develop relevant learning programs.
- Conduct educational activities that inform, teach, and facilitate adoption of new procedures, technologies, equipment, and patient care trends with continuing education credits where appropriate.
- Coordinate and plan educational offerings for nursing associates, considering mandatory regulatory requirements, quality and safety, performance improvement, and clinical advancement.
Requirements
- Mastery's degree in Clinical Nursing or related field required.
- 3-4 years progressive clinical nursing experience required, with staff development or continuing education experience preferred.
- Valid RN license in the State of Maryland required.
Estimated Salary Range: $87,318 - $157,289
