PT Cashier

Job Summary

The PT Cashier role at The GIANT Company is a dynamic opportunity to provide exceptional customer service and support the success of our stores. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for scanning and/or entering numbers on the register, lifting and moving goods, making change, and bagging orders. You will also assist with special projects, restock returns, and replenish front-end items.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Operate the cash register, scanning and/or entering numbers, making change, and bagging orders.
• Lift and move goods, including stock and merchandise, to and from shelves and storage areas.
• Assist with special projects, such as restocking returns and replenishing front-end items.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales and customer service goals.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations.
• Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements of the position.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform the job.
• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 30 or 60 days.

Physical Requirements

• Shift hours: minimum 4-hour shifts or more depending upon business needs.
• Job cycles: continual maximum.
• Lift/carry: 50 lbs.
• Stand 55%, sit 0%, walk 45%.
