At Heartland Dermatology Center, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant - Dermatology Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dermatology team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain patient histories, perform reviews of systems, and prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
- Take vital signs, administer medications, and perform suture removals as directed by the provider.
- Assist with exams, procedures, and patient education, ensuring a seamless and efficient patient experience.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing patient records.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) preferred.
- Active CPR certification and willingness to use nursing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHRs) and other medical software.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with occasional heavy lifting required.
