Audio Systems Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Audio Systems Specialist to join our team at Xtream Arena. As an Event Audio Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional audio support for various events, including Iowa Volleyball, Iowa Gymnastics, and Iowa Heartlanders.
Key Responsibilities- Supply audio support for events, including setup, running, and take-down
- Support the Events Department in all audio needs
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and employees
- Assist in installing new technology related to the audio system
- Maintain all security standards of Xtream Arena
- Set and strike portable sound systems, microphones, and clear-com equipment
- Assist production staff for events related to the videoboard, in-house feeds, audio systems, and intercoms
- Keep accurate inventory of in-house audio equipment and cleaning supplies
- Perform off-season maintenance and preventive maintenance projects
- Maintain equipment storage and ensure an orderly and clean storage area
- Support, maintain, repair, and inventory all audio equipment
- Maintain good working relationships with all vendors
- Perform additional IT/AV support work as needed
- Knowledge of electronics and electrical systems, audio and video systems, fiber, and lighting systems preferred
- Experience with lighting, sound, and video equipment, including wireless mics, mixers, amplifiers, speakers, video boards, etc.
- Prior Daktronics experience a plus
- Experience with signal routing and patching
- Ability to analyze, prioritize, and relay information to make appropriate recommendations for various productions
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work events above and beyond the normal working day, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be organized and detail-oriented
- Possess strong interpersonal skills, working with both internal and external clients
- Exposure to Audio Architect and Windows Operating Systems is a plus
- 3+ years of related experience
- Experience working in an arena or theater setting
