Pave Talent is seeking a skilled Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join an industry-leading contract manufacturer of personal care products.

Overview

This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and global regulations, particularly in light of the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022 (MOCRA).

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 based on experience and qualifications. The company also offers a relocation package for candidates moving to Ottawa, Illinois.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regulatory Compliance: Oversee the creation and maintenance of regulatory files to ensure product safety and compliance with FDA, EPA, and emerging state regulations.
  • Labeling and Ingredient Management: Ensure compliance in labeling and quantitative quality formulas (QQFs), and manage ingredient lists, adhering to MOCRA and other federal/state standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, manufacturing, and external partners to align on regulatory strategies and stay current with changing guidelines.
  • FDA Filings: Prepare and submit regulatory filings for new OTC and cosmetic products to facilitate market entry and updates.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Experience: 2-4 years in regulatory compliance within personal care, OTC, or cosmetics industries.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Expertise in MOCRA, FDA regulations, EPA standards, and compliance processes related to non-GMO projects, vegan certifications, and leaping bunny certifications.
  • Software Proficiency: High-level Microsoft Office skills required; familiarity with regulatory tools such as Works software is a plus.
