We are seeking highly qualified individuals to join our part-time faculty pool as instructors in the Department of Finance at the Sykes College of Business, University of Tampa. Job DescriptionThis part-time instructor position will involve teaching finance courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance and be able to create engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of students.
Responsibilities- Create syllabi for students each semester, outlining specific class requirements and learning objectives consistent with the University and College of Business mission statement.
- Provide meeting times outside of class hours for students, utilizing shared faculty offices provided by the department.
- Use online course management systems to communicate course information and grades to students, including attending training sessions prior to the first semester of teaching.
- Demonstrate the use of Microsoft Excel in all classes, requiring students to complete at least one project using Excel.
- Compute and submit final grades in accordance with the syllabus.
- Undergraduate Courses: A Master's degree or higher with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Finance, or candidates may be eligible with a Master's degree and qualified professional work experience.
- Graduate Courses: Ph.D. or ABD with at least two peer-reviewed journal articles published within the past five years or recent work experience.
The estimated salary for this position is $40-$60 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, we offer competitive benefits packages, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
