Nursing Professional for Emergency Department Inpatient Boarding

We are seeking a skilled registered nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department Inpatient Boarding at Novant Health - Agency - Reddot.
About the Role
- This is a full-time position with a 0.9 FTE schedule, working 72 hours per two weeks, on night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.
- The ideal candidate will have prior experience in an acute hospital setting, specifically in the Emergency Department.
Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and communicating patient care needs for discharge planning in interdisciplinary care conferences and with members of the healthcare team.
- They will develop and implement individualized plans of nursing care with patients and families, addressing identified needs and concerns.
- Collaboration with physicians and other health team members will be essential in coordinating the plan of care and facilitating patient outcomes.
- The nurse will implement and evaluate patient responses to care through assessment and reassessment, updating the plan of care as needed.
- Providing care based on established standards of practice, policies, and protocols is crucial.
- Patient admission, transfer, and discharge will need to be handled in a timely and efficient manner.
- The nurse will demonstrate leadership by providing information as a resource, mentor, coach, and delegator of nursing care activities.
Requirements
- A graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required, along with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- A current valid North Carolina nursing license is necessary, along with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- A minimum of one year of experience in the Emergency Department in an acute hospital setting is preferred.

Estimated Salary
The estimated salary range for this position is $85,000 to $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
