Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Health Images in Boulder, Colorado. As a key member of our imaging team, you will be responsible for performing routine and diagnostic exams relating to breast anatomy to obtain high-quality images with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Interface with patients to gather medical history and provide clear instructions and explanations of procedures and exams.
- Review patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent, and screen patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
- Obtain prior imaging as needed and perform high-quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
- Perform exams while attending to patient care before, during, and following the exam, and notify the appropriate party if the patient's condition changes at any time.
- Transfer images to other locations as needed, and coordinate procedure protocols with the Radiologist.
- Maintain and regularly inspect equipment, and immediately report any quality concerns or equipment failures or deficiencies.
- Interface with the Lead Technologist and Center/Area Manager regarding any departmental concerns.
- Two plus years' experience in Mammography - preferred
- Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver, and a team player
- Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced team environment
- Ability to continuously exceed company and customer expectations
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
- Registry in Mammography (M)
- Complete 40 hours of mammography orientation
- Complete 8 hours of 3D tomosynthesis training (if applicable)
- Current license from state medical board (if applicable)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
