Job Summary:
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a crucial role in promoting physical well-being, comfort, and dignity for our patients. Your duties will encompass a range of essential tasks, including assisting with activities of daily living, supporting nursing staff, and maintaining accurate medical records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with Daily Living Activities
    • Transfer patients safely and efficiently
    • Ambulate patients as needed
    • Assist with eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene
  • Support Nursing Staff
    • Follow instructions to utilize devices and simple procedures to strengthen and maintain patient limbs
    • Support nursing staff in performing basic medical procedures such as enemas, suppositories, treatments, post-surgical care, and post-mortem care
  • Maintain Accurate Medical Records
    • Monitor and document physical and mental status through vital signs and sample collections (urine, sputum, stool); track input/output as needed
    • Complete worksheet documentation for assigned patients
  • Assist with Dining Needs
    • Transport patients to the dining area
    • Communicate menu options and serve meals as needed
  • Ensure Patient Comfort and Support
    • Respond promptly to patient requests in line with the Resident Bill of Rights
  • Maintain Cleanliness and Hygiene
    • Uphold cleanliness and hygiene in designated areas, including changing bedding and linens
  • Additional Duties
    • Assist licensed nurses during emergencies, adhering to established protocols
    • Perform clerical support and escort patients to off-site appointments as needed


Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a Skilled Nursing/Long-term Care setting
  • 2 years experience as a CNA
  • Fingerprint clearance card from the Arizona Department of Public Safety
  • Active or temporary CNA/LPN/RN license in the State of Arizona
  • Current CPR certification obtained through physical assessment


Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year
