Job Summary

Erie City School District is seeking a qualified Van Driver to transport students safely and efficiently. This 12-month position requires a valid PA driver's license with CDL-S endorsement and air brakes certification.

About the Role

As a Van Driver, you will be responsible for driving a passenger van over designated routes to transport students to district locations. You will also perform labor duties when not driving, maintain the cleanliness of vehicles, and adhere to established time schedules.

Responsibilities
  • Safely transport EPS students
  • Perform district labor duties as required
  • Maintain the cleanliness of vehicles
  • Assist with other duties assigned by Supervisors of Maintenance/Transportation
Requirements
  • Current PA valid driver's license (CDL-S endorsement and air brakes certification)
  • Five years of driving experience with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a physical examination
  • Must be bondable and possess current satisfactory performance evaluations
  • Professional tact, diplomacy, and flexibility when interacting with administrators, staff, teachers, students, parents, and the community
  • Knowledge and experience related to working with young children
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is $50,000-$60,000 per year, based on local market rates and the Pennsylvanian Labor Union Contract.
