The Dedicated Elderly Care Specialist plays a vital role in assisting residents with their daily needs, as outlined in the resident service plan. This encompasses personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, activities, orientation, and information requirements.

This position demands tact, sensitivity, and professionalism due to the frequent interaction with residents and families to ensure their satisfaction.

Job Requirements:

To be eligible for this position, candidates must possess a High School diploma (Springhouse) or equivalent (Arden Courts/Linden Village). They should also have basic reading and writing skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in English.

A minimum of knowledge and experience in working with the elderly is required, with previous dementia experience being preferred. Additionally, certification according to state regulations is necessary, and successful completion of Springhouse's/Arden Courts' training is mandatory.

The selected candidate will be expected to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods, as well as push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted on a frequent basis. Full use of hands, arms, and legs is also required for tasks such as washing, bathing, dressing, writing, cleaning, and operating clothes washers and dryers, kitchen appliances, and other equipment.

A good physical and mental health status is essential for this role.
