Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at PHMC. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will provide individualized support to children and adolescents with behavioral disorders in various settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized behavioral interventions based on treatment plan goals created by the ABA Behavior Consultant.
  • Foster a positive therapeutic relationship with the child and their caregivers.
  • Accurately collect behavior data and report behavioral outcomes and intervention results to the treatment team.
  • Participate in regular meetings with staff to ensure clear priorities, good coordination, and open communication.
  • Cooperate and communicate as a multi-discipline staff team member through formal meetings, informal consultations, and committee participation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, sociology, education, criminal justice, or a similar human service field.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a broad variety of people, including other team members and management.
  • Understanding of theory and implementation of behavior modification interventions.
  • Knowledge, application, and adherence to CASSP principles.

Training and Certification:

  • Complete the 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification training curriculum prior to hire or within 6 months of start date.
  • Complete the RBT Competency Assessment prior to hire or within 12 months of employment under the supervision of a qualified BCBA and annually thereafter.
