Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Financial Management Specialist to join our team as Treasurer. As an officer of the organization, the Treasurer will provide financial guidance and oversight to ensure the integrity and sustainability of our operations.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the organization's finances, policies, and financial management
  • Assist the board in carrying out its financial responsibilities
  • Work with senior management to prepare the annual budget and present it to the board for approval
  • Develop financial policies and strategies to ensure the long-term financial health of the organization
Requirements
  • Experience in financial management or accounting for nonprofit organizations
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and laws affecting nonprofits
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
Benefits

This is a volunteer position that offers the opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause and gain valuable experience in financial management. As Treasurer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial stability and growth of Muslim Advocates.

Compensation

As a volunteer position, this role does not offer monetary compensation. However, we offer a stipend of $25,000 per year to cover expenses related to serving as Treasurer.
