Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer - Assembly Transformation Specialist to lead the deployment of lean manufacturing methodologies and integrate innovative technology and/or processes designed to enhance our manufacturing-based business development capabilities. This role will be responsible for incorporating lean design and business process innovation that delivers high-value-added processes and products in ways that create a competitive advantage within the power generation industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Significant contributions to the implementation of Generac's Fulfillment System (GFS) across the Order-to-Cash process (Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, and Service).
  2. Responsible for leading and coordinating the successful launch of New Product Introductions (NPI) within operations.
  3. Lead and contribute to facility transformation, technology transfer, and ongoing maintenance of mixed-model lines or value streams.
  4. Lead and ensure ongoing success of process improvement initiatives by implementing policies, procedures, and process documentation.
  5. Lead and implement demand-driven principles and strategies that support operational excellence and long-range plans.
  6. Lead and ensure product, material, and information streams flow and are synchronized to produce maximum efficiencies and lowest cost of operation.
  7. Leader in creation of innovative ideas to improve business results.
  8. Deploy standard Generac tools, methodologies, standards, practices, and processes.
  9. Lead and implement objectives to include continuous improvement initiatives to achieve customer satisfaction and fulfillment needs.
  10. Work closely with shop floor personnel to promote ongoing Continuous Improvement of manufacturing methods, systems, and controls.
  11. Responsibility for area layouts, process definition, and equipment justification, selection, and implementation.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology.
  2. 5+ years related experience in the Engineering function within a similar working environment.
  3. Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and/or ProE).
  4. Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
  5. Knowledge of lean principles and process improvements.
  6. Diverse skills and experience leading projects.
  7. Experience collaborating cross-functionally to achieve desired results.
  8. Experience operating in high-mix, low-volume and high-volume, low-mix production environments.
  9. Demonstrated skills in problem-solving and conflict resolution.
  10. Proven track record of successfully managing shifting deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  11. Project Management Certification.
Estimated Salary:

$110,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on location and experience.

Location

This role is based in the United States and will require occasional travel to other locations within the country.
