Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Health and Wellness to lead our healthcare services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing overall leadership and management of the health and well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to clinical care.
  • Collect, analyze, and report occurrence trends, and develop/implement improvement plans as necessary.
  • Partner with the Administrator and other team members to maintain resident and team member health and safety.
  • Collaborate with the pharmacy consultant to provide optimal pharmaceutical services to residents.
  • Provide clinical expertise and guidance to licensed nurses.
  • Assist with educational presentations and identify ongoing needs and services of residents through the assessment/Service Plan process.
  • Oversee the completion of monthly updates and report any pertinent changes to the responsible party.
  • Partner with other department coordinators to identify, review, and discuss potential changes in service/medication levels.
  • Ensure resident service plans are updated as required by state regulations.
  • Participate in community awareness activities and community relations.
  • Maintain communication with residents' families and/or responsible parties regarding changes in care or health concerns.
  • Inform the Business Office of fee changes related to care needs.
  • Schedule clinical staff on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure adequate clinical supplies are available.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing.
  • At least one year of experience in a nursing leadership role, preferably in senior living.
  • BSL Certification.

You will also need to demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ability to learn new applications.
