Job Summary:

The Residential Supervisor (Direct Support Professional) is a critical role at Hopewell Center, Inc. responsible for implementing Individual Program Plans (IPPs) and providing support to residents in their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement Individual Program Plans (IPPs) to ensure residents receive tailored support and care.
  • Assist residents with housekeeping duties, including cleaning and maintaining a safe and healthy living environment.
  • Oversee the administration of various behavior programs to promote positive behaviors and well-being.
  • Train and assist residents with budgeting and counting money to promote financial literacy and independence.
  • Train and assist residents with daily hygiene needs, including bathing and dressing.
  • Supervise the administration of medication to ensure residents receive the correct dosage and treatment.
  • Maintain an inventory of hygiene and household supplies and medications to ensure residents have access to essential items.
  • Assist residents with meal preparation and train them in proper diet and nutrition.
  • Monitor the working condition of resident adaptive equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.
  • Oversee exercise and leisure activities to promote physical and mental well-being.
  • Transport residents to various destinations, including appointments and outings.
  • Oversee emergency evacuation training for the residence to ensure residents are prepared in case of an emergency.
  • Maintain and update a log of resident activities to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure the house is properly secured upon leaving and attend meetings and prescribed training programs as assigned.
